Alumni in Action
 In Support Roles

The “Together We Build” (TWB) campaign was launched by a group of alumni who came together at Camp Hitaga for Camp Fire’s 100th Anniversary on July 31, 2010.  A plan was developed to meet the financial and leadership challenges of the Iowana Council, and goal of raising $250,000 over three years was set.

We have been very pleased with the response so far.  We extend our heartfelt thanks to all our donors, and ask that if you have not yet participated in this campaign, you will now. For more information, see our Spring 2013 Update Letter.

Sue "Stick" Braun (Netahi '70) joined the fun when McKinley Middle School's 8th grade came to Hitaga in May, 2011.  She taught them the Hitaga way to build fires - and guided some of them through roasting marshmallows for the very first time!

Halane "Pooh" Cummings (Rainbow 1996-98) was a great mad scientist during Halloween Trails at Hitaga in October 2010, with her current camper daughters as her assistants! She played that role again in 2011 - while her daughters graduated to being great Trail Guides.
