Camp Hitaga has been providing fun and personal growth in a non-competitive, natural setting since our founding in 1931. Our campers -- boys and girls entering grades 1 through 12 -- enjoy a variety of entertaining and challenging activities, while our energetic staff are dedicated to helping campers learn about themselves and the natural world around them. All youth are welcome.
Camp Hitaga's 161 acres of woodland and prairie along the Wapsipinicon River provide great opportunities for hiking -- and the backdrop for our cool swimming pool, rustic Dining Lodge, bright arts and crafts room, 13-element Challenge Course, nicely mowed games field, horse stable and riding rings.
Part of the fun at Hitaga is that campers get to choose many of their daily activities, making individual choices for morning activities, and choosing afternoon activities together with the counselors and other campers in their cabin.

Evening activities vary week to week, and may include theme nights, dances, talent shows, pool parties, all-camp games, cookouts and
campouts. Every camper will have the opportunity to cook at least one
meal over an open fire. The adventures of each session at Camp
Hitaga culminate with a traditional Council Fire.
